Electrical Engineer Location: Bay Minette, AL
Basic Function: The Electrical Engineer designs, develops and supports the electrical systems and controls used in the rotary air compressors.
Nature & Scope: As directed by the Engineering Manager Small Rotaries this position performs a variety of technical tasks. Manage the electrical projects. These include but are not limited to the development of new products. These tasks also include designing and developing improvements to existing products. This position also will provide manufacturing and service support to troubleshoot or provide technical information for all products.
Principle Duties:
- Manage the electrical projects keeping track of timing, cost, and resources in effort to meet the timeline of the project team requirements
- This position carries out assignments pertaining to new or existing products. These assignments will include but are not limited to research, design and development of components, parts or changes required by new or existing products
- Assignments to this position will be varied and challenging. They will involve a level of responsibility to insure they are completed on time and with the desired results. They will also involve ingenuity and originality to overcome technical challenges
- This position coordinates and expedites the implementation of new releases or changes while ensuring design requirements are maintained
- This position will, when appropriate, direct and supervise drafting personnel as needed
- This position will when appropriate, generate CAD drawings as needed using CAD system provided for task
- This position will when appropriate, generate Bills of Material as needed using system provided for task
- This position will follow up with our supplier the development and qualification of the electronic controllers used to operate the compressors
- This position will develop, plan and perform tests to insure reliable designs and products that meet all project objectives. Document all designs, work and tests for future reference
- This position will provide training and technical assistance to others as needed
- This position will develop comprehensive written instructions for service requirements
- This position will develop comprehensive written instructions for manufacturing process
- This position will write comprehensive instruction manuals for new and existing products

Accountability:
- This position reports to and receives direction from Engineering Manager Small Rotaries.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- BS or MD in Electrical Engineering
- Good knowledge of electrical motor design
- Good knowledge of Electrical Control Panel design
- Knowledge of CAD
- Project Management skills is a plus
- Knowledge of compressor operation would be a plus
- Programming knowledge would be a plus for this position

Design Engineer Location: Bay Minette, AL
Basic Function: The Design Engineer designs and develops the rotary and cost competitive air compressor systems or packages excluding the element.
Nature and Scope: Within the limits of Group, Corporate policy and authority delegated by the Supervisor, Rotary Packaging, the Design Engineer, Rotary Packaging, designs and develops innovative and cost competitive rotary units and performs any other necessary product design or support functions at the Bay Minette, AL facility.
Principle Duties:
- Design the screw compressor system and system components, such as the inlet filter, oil separator, oil cooler, after-cooler, air or gas piping system, oil piping system and related pneumatic and fluid dynamic controls etc. This design shall include the related heat balance analysis, fluid dynamic analysis, strength analysis and any other necessary analysis
- Complete the P&ID or flow schematic drawings for any compressor packages. The flow schematic drawing shall be supported by the necessary calculation and analysis. Work with suppliers to specify and select any required mechanical component
- Complete the detailed layouts for the compressor packages
- Perform the design work with designer(s) as necessary
- Review and check the drawings completed by designers, and take the responsibility for the design
- Design the compressor canopies and compressor skids
- Understand the engineering economics and conduct the efficiency and cost and reliability analysis
- Apply the theory of screw compressors and their systems and develop the experience and knowledge to support the compressor applications and the productions
- Complete the Bill of Materials for compressor systems and canopies
- Actively involve the product innovation team and communicate any necessary information from the end users for the purpose of the product innovation
- Complete any mechanical engineering related tasks assigned by his or her supervisor
- Prepare the technical literature necessary for the release of product documentation such as the instruction manual, spare part book, service diagrams, etc....
- Prepare the technical instructions for production assembly and field service maintenance operations
- Perform follow-up tests in the laboratory
- Assist the Quality Department in the field quality resolution process
- Conduct some small design projects

Experience and Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in mechanical, thermal or electromechanical engineering
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, mechanics of materials, fabrication process, sound and vibration principles and sheet metal and structural design on packages
- Knowledge and/or experience in compressors and their systems is a plus
- Ability to use Pro-E and Pro-Detail for all kinds of drawings and designs
Knowledge
- Knowledge of product structures and costing methods
- Must be creative, innovative, cost driven, have good hands-on practical mechanical skills and be able to work in a team environment

Manufacturing Engineer Location: Bay Minette, AL
Basic Function:
The Manufacturing Engineer coordinates various activities to best fit the department schedules and deadlines. The position is responsible for improving methods, processes, and tooling to best accommodate flow and reduce cost in the Unit Assembly Value Stream. The mission of the Manufacturing Engineer is to provide general manufacturing support to all areas as directed as well as control, document and reduce manufacturing costs.
Job Duties Include:
- Develop standards, both direct and indirect
- Problem solving and quality tool usage
- Identify and implement cost improvements
- Audit labor standards and methods to insure accuracy
- Develop plant and workplace layouts using computerized methods
- Develop and maintain routing sequences to include standards, tooling and special gauging required

Project Engineer Location: Bay Minette, AL
Basic Function:
The Project Engineer primarily leads and coordinates the design activities linked to product development. He/she develops the overall product concept and ensures that the Engineering Best Practices are fulfilled during the development process. The Project Engineer designs and develops innovative and cost competitive rotary units, and performs any other necessary product design support functions at the Bay Minette, AL facility.
Job Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Leading, organizing and coordinating the project team work during all project phases
- Representing the Engineering Department on the project team and be the representative of the project in the Engineering Department
- Researching and implementing innovative technical solutions to achieve project objectives
- Taking an active part in the engineering team to support the release of all engineering deliverables linked to the project
- Performing the design work with designer(s) as necessary as well as some design work of the screw compressor system and system components
- Reviewing and checking drawings completed by designers, and take the responsibility for the design

Test Engineer Location: Bay Minette, AL
Basic Function:
The Test Engineer directs and controls all the Bay Minette, AL R&D lab activities, and helps all the engineering groups in testing and qualifying the technical solutions designed in the engineering department.
Nature and Scope:
Within the limits of Division and Corporate policy and authority delegated by the VP Engineering, the Test Engineer exercises operational control over all the Bay Minette, AL R&D lab activities which include scheduling and supervising all the prototype assembly and tests. The Test Engineer supports the development of processes in the area of testing and qualification of all system designed by the Quincy Compressor Engineering team. He/She develops the level of expertise of the lab as a source of recommendations of design improvements. Total employment in assigned areas of responsibility is 3-4 hourly lab technicians.
Job Duties Include:
- Acts as an expert on all the compressor test codes and standards used to test/qualify compressors and compressor components
- Designs and optimizes all the test procedures used in Bay Minette, AL and Quincy, IL labs to minimize the test time and resources according to the engineering requests and test codes and standards
- Acts as an expert on the noise and vibration controls and expert on the noise and vibration measurements and analysis
- Supports all the engineering groups and projects regarding design improvements
- Schedules and supervises the prototype assembly
- Executes all the engineering requests, schedules and supervises the tests
- Carries on the initial test results analyses and produces the test reports
- Organizes and maintains an efficient test result data base, which should be easily searched by non-lab personnel
- Responsible for all the lab improvements in Bay Minette, AL and Quincy, IL including new test equipment and software sourcing, installation and implementations
- Responsible for maintaining 5S lab, and creating secure and safe working environment
- Maintains all the updated calibrations of test equipment

Experience and Educational requirements
- MSME or BSME with experience
- Must have verifiable work experience in a lab environment measurement and control. A background in manufacturing is a plus

Sales Engineer Location: Los Angeles, CA
Basic Function:
At the direction of the Regional Manager, the Sales Engineer will exercise primary control over all customer-related activities and problems within the assigned area. The Sales Engineer will work with the Area Manager and other factory-functional areas to complete assigned sales and marketing goals.
Job Duties Include:
- Prospecting new and drifted accounts to generate revenue
- Design and engineer compressed air solutions
- Develop relationships with local Mechanical and General Contractors
- Track customer calls and providing reports accordingly
- Effectively manage quote log and follow up as needed
- Audit compressed air systems and present results
- Work with local utility company to process rebates for energy savings
- Support and grow local sub-distribution
- Increase rapport with customer via effective troubleshooting of current system
- Develop understanding of competitive landscape in compressor market

Mission
The primary responsibility of the Sales Engineer is to manage the direct selling activities of Quincy Products and define accounts located in the assigned geographical territory. The Sales Engineer is to perform all assigned tasks to assure that individual and company goals are achieved in respect to maximum sales volume and profitability.
Experience and Educational requirements
- 2 - 5 years Compressor Industry experience preferred
- Extremely proficient in Excel, CRM, search engines and database management
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred; degree in Business, Marketing or Management considered with supplemental technical training or experience
Knowledge
General knowledge of industrial products including compressed air products and markets, including but not limited to air compressors, vacuum pumps and air treatment
