Quincy Compressor, an EnPro Industries company, offers an outstanding career opportunity for a TCV (Lean/Continuous Improvement) Black Belt at the Quincy, Illinois facility. We manufacture a broad line of high quality reciprocating air compressor products. Our modern facility includes product development support and manufacturing functions.

Quincy Compressor is looking for a highly analytical and energetic individual to fill the role of TCV Black Belt to assist with the continuous improvement initiative at the Quincy facility. Under the direction of the TCV Champion, the Black Belt will be directly involved in the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques and plant layout changes, which is a key, strategic plan for our manufacturing operation. He/she will lead projects and create change to reduce costs and improve product quality. This Lean Black Belt will significantly impact our competitiveness in the reciprocating air compressor market. This will be a high visibility position with excellent opportunity for career advancement.

Desired candidates will have thorough understanding of lean manufacturing and six sigma methods and 3-5 years of hands on lean implementation experience in a sophisticated Lean environment. Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred. Candidates need to exhibit excellent skills for communicating with employees at all levels of the organization. A four-year engineering degree is desired, as is experience in supply chain management. The individual must be able to manage multiple projects and create change. Must be an experienced trainer and team facilitator. Experience with high involvement work teams will be a plus.
